Banks Construction Company offers a full approach to the grading process. For our clients, we perform clearing, grubbing, direct excavation, and embankment as well as all base grading and compaction. To do this, we work closely with our Estimating Department to ensure that the job begins and ends with the client’s needs in mind. We utilize automatic grade control on our motorgraders and GPS surveying. Several projects to note are Highway 52/78, Ashley Phosphate, Daimler Chrysler, Vought and the Lexus and Toyota dealerships.
Chad Johnson graduated from USC with a Bachelor’s in Sports Business. He began work with a local construction company as a pipe layer, drawing on his experiences from his family’s farm. He worked his way up to a Superintendent role prior to joining Banks Construction Company. He started with Banks in the summer of 2003 as a Field Engineer. As one of our Grading Superintendents, he and his crew have been instrumental on projects such as Highway 17A, Ashley Phosphate Road, and most recently, the widening of Highway 17 North in Mt. Pleasant. With the help of his wife of four years and two twin girls, Reagan and Riley, ages two and a half, he still runs a full time family farm.
