Hot mix asphalt installation is the backbone of operations at Banks Construction Company. With state of the art production facilities and expertise that comes from years of experience, Banks Construction Company is the premier paving contractor in the Lowcountry. Since 1948, we have been a pioneer in asphalt paving, completing projects from driveways to major highways, as well as industrial projects and airport runways.

Our products meet all specifications for the South Carolina Department of Transportation, including SuperPave. These materials also meet Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Federal Highway Administration (FHA) designs. To the extent allowed by individual project specifications, Banks Construction Company incorporates recycled asphalt products.

Employee Spotlight

Jack Ball started with Banks Construction Company in 1997 after ten years in the Air Force. He began working in our shop, sweeping the floors before being asked to join a paving crew. While he did leave Banks for a year in 2002, he returned for several reasons, mainly because of the benefits in working for a family owned business. He worked his way up through the paving crew, assuming the role of Foreman before most recently being promoted to the position of Assistant Superintendent.
