It is the policy of Banks Construction Company to provide a safe and healthy work environment for the protection of our most vital resource - our employees. The safety of employees is of the greatest interest to all levels of management and supervision, ranking in importance above production, quality, and costs.

The company's basic philosophy is that all personal injuries and accidents can be prevented. While the responsibility for safety begins and ends with top management, that responsibility is shared throughout the organization. Project managers are responsible for their jobsites, supervisors are accountable for the safety of their crews, and all individuals are accountable for their own safety. All employees, at every level, are expected to fully accept responsibility for their own safety and for the safety of those with whom they work. There is no place in this organization for an unsafe employee.

Banks Construction Company will maintain a vigorous safety and injury prevention program at each location and will allocate the necessary resources to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

Work Zone Safety Crew

To ensure the safety of our employees while working on increasingly dangerous roadways, Banks Construction Company employs full-time “Work Zone Safety Crews”. The main responsibility of these crews is the proper set-up and maintenance of all traffic control for lane closures and flagging operations. Our goal is to guide the traveling public safely through our work zones while protecting the employees working in them.
