Banks Construction Company was hired to perform the paving and pipe work for this neighborhood located off Rifle Range Road in Mt. Pleasant.

• Installed over 1,700 linear feet of concrete pipe (ranging from 18" to 36")
• Installed 20 different storm structures from alley catch basins to curb inlets
• Installed 1,635 tons of surface asphalt
• Used total of 1652 total man hours

Taxiway Foxtrot

This project, $124,000 total cost, included milling and paving a section of runway at the Charleston Air Force Base for the complete resurfacing and rehabilitation of Taxiway Foxtrot, which Banks Construction Company as a subcontractor, finished on time and under budget. This project included:

• 1,180 tons hot mix asphalt placed
• 10,700 square yards of asphalt removed
• 12,500 square yards milling removed
• 4,000 tons crushed concrete placed

Taxiway Echo

Banks Construction Company was the prime contractor on this complicated $5M project involving a primary runway closure, around the clock construction and a very compressed schedule. It was completed on time and under budget. It included:

• 10,700 square yards existing pavement removed
• 2,255 square yards milling
• 59,000 square yards of stone base placed
• 82,000 cubic yards of borrow material used

Dorchester County Airport

The rehabilitation of Runway 6-24 at the Dorchester County (Summerville) airport consisted of pavement rehabilitation of the 3,700 foot long runway; including crack repair, soil sterilization, single surface treatment, bituminous pavement overlay and pavement marking. Banks Construction Company was the prime contractor on this $648,000 project and completed it under budget and ahead of schedule.
