Back in September, we kicked off our comprehensive training program, led by Training and Development Coordinator BD Laprad and trainers David Schmidtner and Rodney Chaplin.

We’ve just wrapped up backhoe training and are currently focusing on broom training. So far, there’s been a lot of improvement and a positive attitude from the team as they come in eager to learn new skills.

Rodney and David have been doing an excellent job teaching other team members, and it’s great to see those skills being applied in the field.

BD Laprad shared his excitement for the program, highlighting how it gives our employees the opportunity to grow. Looking ahead, we plan to offer training across all divisions.

We’re looking forward to continuing this journey of growth and development, so that our people have every chance to grow and thrive in everything that they do.

Job site visits are the best visits!

Recently, Quality Control Division Manager Randy Funderburg took his two-year-old grandson Benny to the Berlin G. Myers Project. Benny loves construction equipment and was excited to visit the team.

Foreman Jonathan LeGrand, and Superintendent Phil Whitaker, took him around and let him sit in all of the equipment from front-end loaders, backhoes, rollers, and dozers.

Randy shared “Jonathan, Phil, and all the operators treated Benny like a King. He’ll never forget it.”

On Tuesday, we attended the 6th Annual Hard Hats with Heart event here in the Lowcountry, during the 100th year the #AmericanHeartAssociation has been making an impact for so many.
