A special person amongst the Plant team here at Banks, we’re excited to highlight Gary Hobby for reaching his 15-year milestone within his career here at Banks.

When we have new equipment operators start, Gary always takes them under his wing and mentors them for a couple of weeks, he is like the Grandpa of the group! Gary spent his first 7 years on the job working in Grading, then transitioned to shoulder work and paving, and finally to the plant 3–4 years ago. He’s done just about everything at the plant—from feeding the plant, helping on the ground, assisting with maintenance, stockpiling material, and more. Currently, he has a focus on crushing, and since being here, he feels he’s picked up more mechanical skills and gained a better understanding of how asphalt is made.
