The project scope included 6-inch full-depth patching, milling, 2-ft shoulder widening, and intermediate & surface course paving.
There were a total of 9 intersections and 68 driveways.
Due to high traffic volume, work was performed at night to minimize both safety risks to our employees and inconveniences to the public.
Per SCDOT specifications, the completed road needed an IRI of 90 or below. Banks finished the project with IRI numbers between 46 and 49, which show the drastic improvements that were made.
