The Green and Traffic Control Crews paving Cane Branch Road in Walterboro, SC.

This road is part of the Colleton County 2024 Project with SCDOT and is one of the first projects to receive fresh asphalt from the Walterboro Plant.

Palmetto Commerce Interchange looks a bit different at night!

Mainline Paving is complete for this project, and SMA placement wrapped up last Sunday night, making this the smoothest section of interstate in the state of SC.

Crews are currently working on wrapping up final touch-ups, and signs have started to go up. This project is getting close to substantial completion. Great job to everyone whose worked hard on this project!

💭 Imagine working in 90-degree and above temperatures, laying 300-degree asphalt. 💦 Along with a heated paver + screed and metal heavy equipment that can get hot! All while sharing the roadway with oncoming traffic. 🚗

Construction is tough work, it’s dangerous work, but it’s also one of the most rewarding careers.

These men and women work hard, often long hours, to make sure their community gets the best quality infrastructure and can stay safe in their travels. All while planning to make it home to their families every day.

This Labor Day, we celebrate them. Next time you see a construction worker, make sure to thank them for all they do.

10 years on the Banks team 🤙 Congrats to Project Manager Clark Banks!

Clark began his career as a Grading Foreman, advanced into roles as Paving Superintendent and Transportation Division Manager, and today serves as Project Manager, leading key projects such as Palmetto Commerce Interchange, the Boeing Site Expansion, and Black Tom/176.

As VP of Project Management Operations, Greg Cook shared, “It has been an absolute pleasure to watch Clark grow and develop as a Leader in our Company, and I look forward to a bright future together as your path continues.”
