Savannah Hathaway – Logistics Manager

“I have known Savannah for the majority of her career at Banks Construction. To see her growth and development over that time is admirable. When she first started at Banks she would come over to the transportation trailer with her notebooks, sticky notes, and multicolored pens and highlighters to pick my brain about dispatching trucks, cycle times, and all things trucking. Those were the old days of spreadsheets and manual math. I don’t know where her laboratory is but a great deal of those notes were instrumental in the development of the XBE system we all use today. She may not have invented the system but her suggestions and recommendations have vastly improved the system that not only makes us more efficient, but also other companies across the country and internationally. Those efforts couldn’t have come at a better time, as it allowed us to not only continue operations but to do it safely and paperless during Covid. She is a selfless leader who thinks of the others on her team far more than herself. I think everyone who knows her would tell you she is extremely smart and kind. As her friend and colleague, I would add fearless! From walking the mean streets of Chicago together for XBE training to her keeping order on the Zoom calls with the cast of characters we have participating is legendary. She walks soft and carries a big stick, if you don’t believe me it’s in her office. She is highly respected and loved by all. There’s only one way to say it Savannah is a sweetheart. Everyone needs resources for their jobs and looks to her to make things happen. She always keeps a positive attitude and has a way of making you feel good when the resources aren’t available. Savannah also comes up with solutions on moving resources from one job to another to keep things going. I can’t figure out how she does all that she does.
